It's such an honor to be teaching your children! I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Diversity Studies. Since my graduation from App, I have worked for the Denver Rescue Mission in Colorado and at Dilworth Elementary in Charlotte.

I love to read, try new recipes, and travel! The picture to the left was taken in Ireland, where I did part of my student teaching. I am "passionately curious," which is one of the reasons I love teaching. I love learning and exploring new territory, which makes it so fun to work with students.

My goal as an educator is to help all children see their value and potential. I want to encourage curiosity and creativity in the classroom so children will have a desire to pursue knowledge throughout their lives! I hope your students come home every day excited to talk to you about what we have been learning, and I hope you are excited as well. If you have any questions, you can email me at laurena.marshall@cms.k12.nc.us.

You can email me Monday through Friday, from 7-5, with any questions or concerns. Please, do not hesitate to schedule a meeting if you or your child needs time with me after school.

I look forward to working with you and your children!
